THREE MONTHS TRANSPORT TICKET

Ok, the first thing that you have to bear in mind is that there are a lot of ticket inspectors, and they are in civilian clothes; So, you won't recognize them. If they ask you the ticket they'll show you like a key ring. So, you need to buy a three months ticket(if you are eramsus). It is very cheap, it costs 720 kr (like 30 euros). Where can you buy them?

In SKALKA, there is a little window on the left, before you get into the tube station entrance.
In MUSTEK, but in the part of the yellow line.So if you come from the green line, you have to do the transfer to the yellow line, and you will find it without problems.
In FLORENC, where you can buy the bus tickets.

Timetables: they open from Monday to Friday from 7.30 to 20h and Saturday they open until 14h.

If you just spend somedays in Prague, there are machines which sell tickets.

Bueno, la primera cosa que tenéis que tener en cuenta es que hay muchos revisores y van de paisanos; por lo tanto no los vais a reconocer. Si te preguntan el ticket te van a enseñar como un llavero. Entonces, para que no os multen tenéis que comprar un ticket de 3 meses(si sois erasmus) que cuesta 720 kr(unos 30 euros). ¿Dónde los puedes comprar?

En Skalka,hay una pequeña ventanica antes de entrar en la boca del metro,justo a la izquierda.
En Mustek, en la parte de la linea amarilla, cuando sales de la linea verde, tendrás que hacer el transborde hasta la amarilla y fácilmente lo encontrarás allí.
En Florenc, en dónde se compran los tickets de bus

Horarios: de lunes a viernes de 7.30 a 20h y los sábados hasta las 14h

Si solo vais a estar unos días en Praga, hay máquinas que venden tickets.

Bé, la primera cosa que heu de tenir en compte es que hi han molts piques i van de paisans; òbviament no els reconeixareu. Si te pregunten el ticket t'ensenyaran un clauer. Per si no voleu que vos mutlin heu de comprar un ticket de tres mesos(si sou erasmus) que valen 720 kr(uns 30 euros). A on els podeu comprar?

A Skalka, hi ha una petita finestra abans d'entrar a la boca del metro, just a l'esquerra.
A Mustek, a la part de la linia groga, quan surts de la verda, hauràs de fer el transbord fins la groga i allà fàcilment ho trobaràs.
A Florenc, a on es compren els tickets de bus

Horaris: de dilluns a divendres de 7.30 a 20h i els dissabtes fins les 14h

Si només estau un parell de dies a Praga, hi han màquines que venen tickets.

BEFORE YOU LEAVE

I'll advice a bank before you leave to Prague. However, I'm sorry I just know a Spanish bank so I do not know how it works to the rest of the countries.So, you can skip this post.

A ver, el banco que yo cogí para irme de Erasmus es el de CAIXA NOVA o NOVA GALICIA BANCO (es lo mismo). ¿Porqué? Porque te hacen una tarjeta que NO te cobra comisiones. Hace un año podías sacar cada vez que quisieras pero con lo de la crisis y la unión de bancos ahora puedes sacar 3 veces al mes sin comisión, la cuarta te cobran 1 euro. La verdad es que va muy bien. Yo lo que hago es que saco una cantidad grande de dinero y me dura bastante así ya no hay que preocuparse. La tarjeta es esta: Tarjeta MasterCard nx. Ah,puedes hacer compras con tarjeta sin que te cobre comisiones si no tienes suelto.

A veure, el banc que jo vaig agafar per anar-m'en d'Erasmus es el CAIXA NOVA o NOVA GALICIA BANCO (es lo mateix). Perque? perque et fan una targeta que NO cobra comisions. Ah, pots fer compres amb targeta sense que et cobri comisions si no tens suelto.

AIRPORT

In order to get to the airport from Hostivar you should take the bus to Skalka and then the metro(green line) to Dejvická -last stop-. The trip lasts 45 minutes aprox. You can also take the tram 26 but I think it is slower than the metro. From there, you should go outside and in front of the metro station there is a bus stop, so you have to take the bus number 119.(20minutes aprox) You have to bear in mind that there are 3 terminals, I think, the terminal 1 is for international flights(including England and Ireland), the terminal 2 is for EU flights and the terminal 3 is for private flights (VIP).

If you take private transport the trip lasts 30 minutes aprox.

Para ir al aeropuerto desde Hostivar tienes que coger el bus hasta Skalka y luego el metro(linia verda) hasta Dejvická -última parada-. El viaje dura unos 45 minutos aprox. También puedes pillar el tram 26 pero es más lento que el metro. D

esde allí, debes salir fuera y en frente de la parada de metro hay una de bus, pues tienes que coger el bus 119(20 minutos aprox). Tienes que tener en cuenta que hay 3 terminales, creo, la terminal 1 es para vuelos internacionales(incluyendo Inglaterra e Irlanda), la terminal 2 para vuelos europeos, y la terminal 3 para vuelos privados (VIP).

Si pillas un transporte privado como un coche, el viaje dura 30 minuticos.

Per anar a l'aeroport desde Hostivar has d'agafar el bus fins Skalka i d'allà el metro fins Dejvická que es la última parada. El viatge dura uns 45 minuts aprox. També pots agafar el tram 26 però es més lent. Desde allà, has de sortir fora i et trobaràs tot just una parada de bus doncs has d'agafar el bus 119(20 minuts aprox). Has de tenir en conta que hi han 3 terminals, crec, la terminal 1 es per a vols internacionals(incluint Anglaterra e Irlanda), la terminal 2 es per europeus i la terminal 3 per a vols privats(VIP).

Si agafes un tranport privat com un cotxe, el viatge dura 30 minuts.

SECOND HAND SHOPS

RETRO SHOP:In theory this shop is in Perlovà,4. In theory, you have to stop in Mustek or Narodni Trida. I say 'in theory' cuz' I was looking for it for a long time and I didn't find it. Maybe I'm blind or I'm stupid and I don't know how to find a shop...So, for me,it is a shop that doesn't exist. If u find it, lucky you!:D

En teoria es una tienda que está en Perlovà,4. En teoria, tienes que pararte en Mustek o Narodni Trida. Digo "en teoria" porque estuve buscando esta tienda durante mucho tiempo y no la encontré. Puede que esté ciega o que soy estúpida y no sé encontrar una tienda... por lo tanto, para mi esa tienda no existe. Si la encuentras, suerte la tuya!:D

En teoria és una tenda que està a Perlovà,4. En teoria t'has d'aturar a Mustek o Narodni Trida. Dic "en teoria" perque la vaig estar cercant durant un temps i no l'he trobada mai. VINTAGE SHOP: This shop is closer to Propaganda. It is located in Michalská,18. It is a "second hand shop" cuz, when I was there I found it expensive for being a second hand shop.

Esta tienda está cerca del Propaganda. Está en Michalská,18. Es una "tienda de segunda mano" porque cuando fui lo encontré bastante caro para ser una tienda de segunda mano.

SÂTNA: It is situated in Konviktská,13 over towards the river. You have to take the tram to Narodni Trida or the metro to Staromestka. It is closer to the Indian Restaurant Golden Tikka (See label 'Restaurants and cafés') and Asylum(see 'bars'). Here, you can find a lot of things and I think that it is a clear example of a second hand shop or at least, it is closer to the definition. They open from Monday to Friday from 11-19h. And Saturday from 11 to 18h

Está situada en Konviktská,13 más para el rio. Tienes que coger el tram hasta Narodni Trida o el metro hasta Staromestka. Está cerca del restaurante indio Golden Tikka(mirar etiqueta 'Restaurants and cafes') and Asylum(mirar 'bars'). Aquí puedes encontrar muchas cosas y creo que es un claro ejemplo de tienda de segunda mano o por lo menos, se asemeja mucho a su definición. Abren de lunes a viernes de 11 a 19 y los sábados de 11 a 18h

RESTAURANTS AND CAFES 2

Ok, I write(copy and paste) the same bar here cuz' I've seen that it is also a cafe and not just a pub:

CAFE V LESE: I went yesterday to this pub. It was a special event, but maybe they make parties everyday..It is close to Náměstí míru ( 2 stops to tram station KRYMSKÁ cca 5 mins, 15 minutes by foot). From Hostivař 20 minutes to tram station RUSKÁ by tram 22

Trams 4, 22, night trams 57, 59 every 15 minutes. The exact address is Krymská 12. When you get in you can see that it is a simple bar but then you go downstairs and it is like a garage, a dump. Yesteday they put BALKAN - REGGAE - DRUM 'n' BASS - ELECTRO SWING. It was incredible, so I really recommend it. :)

Fui ayer a este bar. Fue un evento especial, en el sentido de que hacían una fiesta específica pero supongo que abren cada día y hacen fiestas cada día... Está cerca de Namesti Miru (2 paradas en tram de KRYMSKÁ, 5 min, 15 minutos a pie) Desde hostivar son 20 minuticos hasta la parada RUSKÁ con el 22(57 y 59 si son los de noche). La calle exacta es Krymská 12. Cuando llegas ahí te encuentras un simple bar pero cuando bajas las escaleras es como un garaje, como un antro. Ayer pusieron BALKAN - REGGAE - DRUM 'n' BASS - ELECTRO SWING. Estuvo genial, lo recomiendo:)

Vaig anar ahir en aquest bar. Va ser un event especial, vull dir que van fer una festa específica però supós que obrin cada dia i fan festes... Està a prop de Namesti Miru (2 aturades amb tram de KRYMSKÁ,5 min,15 min a peu). Desde Hostivar són 20 minuts fins la parada RUSKÁ amb el 22( 57 i 59 si són els trams de nit). El carrer exacter es Krymská 12. Quan arribes allà et trobes un simple bar però baixes les escales i és com un garatge, com un antro. Ahir van posar BALKAN - REGGAE - DRUM 'n' BASS - ELECTRO SWING. Va estar de puta mare, ho recomano.

VZORKOVNA: It is a bar which is near Asylum. I used to go past this bar when I was going to Asylum and I always thought "I have to go", and finally yesterday night I went!!! It is amazing!!!!!!! It is a little bar which is run by a couple. They are very nice. The woman told me that they cook traditional Czech food and make and sell traditional Czech beer. Yesterday, there were several guys playing the guitar, the bass, the harmonica and some other guys joined them with the piano( there is a piano in the bar). The environment is fantastic. The couple have two BIG dogs! they look like horses!! haha and it has also a CHIMNEY! I strongly recommend it.

It is in Bartolomějská, 13, Praha 1. The wife gave me her email if I wanted to make a reservation. I don't know if I can write it so...

Es un bar que está cerca del Asylum. Solía pasar por allí cuando iba al Asylum y siempre pensaba "tengo que ir" , y finalmente ayer noche fui!!!! Es increible!!! Es un pequeño bar, lo lleva una pareja. Son muy majos. La mujer me dijo que cocinan comida tradicional checa y hacen y vende birra tradicional checa también. Ayer había varios tios tocando la guitarra, el bajo, la harmónica y otros se les unían tocando el piano(hay un piano). El ambiente es fantástico. La pareja tienen 2 perros ENORMES! parecen caballos!! HAHA ah! y también tiene chimenea !!! Realmente lo recomiendo.

Són molt majos. La dona me va dir que cuinen menjar txec tradicional i fan i venen birra txeca tradicional. Ahir hi havien uns tios que tocaven la guitarra, el baix, l'harmònica i altres s'el unien tocant el piano(hi ha un piano). L'ambient és fantàstic. La parella tenen dos cans ENORMES semblen cavalls!!hahaah! i també té foganya o llar de foc com vulguis dir-li!! El recomano per suposat!!

CAFE RYBKA: It is a very cozy cafe. It is near Narodni Trida. It is like a cafe-bookstore, cuz there are a several bookcases with books that you can read, but all of them are in Czech, so... unless you know Czech, you won't be able to read them =P

How to go to this cafe? Let's see... once you are in Nardoni Trida, you will see a Pizzeria which is called PIZZA GYROS or something like that. So, as you were going to Hostivar, the first street you see, you should turn right, follow the small street and then, you will see a bar on the corner so when you see it,turn on the left and straight on, and you'll see that the street seems to finish so, turn right and here it is!!(it has like drawn fish in the entrance) I hope I am explain myself... :P They open from 9.15 to 22 from Monday to Friday and during the weekend from 10 to 22h.

Es un café muy acojedor. Está cerca de Narodni Trida. Es como una café librería, porque hay un par de estanterías con libros para leer, pero están todos en checo, asín que.. a no ser que sepas checo, no podrás leerlos =P

¿Cómo llegar? A ver... una vez estés en Narodni Trida, verás como una pizzeria que se llama PIZZA GYROS o algo así. Pues, como si fueras en dirección Hostivar, la primera calle que veas giras a la derecha, sigues la calle y verás un bar que da en una esquina, entonces giras a la izquierda y sigues recto, luego verás como si la calle se acabara, pues giras a la derecha y ahí está!(tiene como peces dibujados en la entrada). Espero que me haya explicado bien... abren de 9.15 a 22 entre semana y durante los fin de semanas de 10 a 22h.

És un cafè molt acollidor. Està a prop de Narodni Trida. És com un cafè llibreria, perque hi han un parell d'estanteries amb llibres per llegir, però tots estan en txec o sigui que si no saps txec, crec que no els podràs llegir. =P

Com arribar-hi? A mem, un cop estàs a Narodni Trida, veuràs com una pizzeria que es diu PIZZA GYROS o algo així. Doncs, com si anassis direcció Hostivar, el primer carrer que vegis a la dreta, segueixes el carrer i veuràs un bar que dona cantó, doncs gires a l'esquerra i segueixes recte, llavors veuràs com si el carrer s'acabàs doncs gires a la dreta i allà està!!(té com peixets dibuixats a l'entrada). Espero que m'hagi explicat bé... obrin de 9.15 a 22 entre setmana i els caps de setmana de 10 a 22h.

Pubs/discos 3

Bunker: This is an AMAZING place! It is called ''bunker'' cuz it is a massive underground bunker built by the Communists in 1950s. It is not easy to find; in fact I have searched in google maps cuz when I got there I was too drunk and I don't remember how we got in (hahaha) :P . I wouldn't say the bunker has an exact direction... It is situated in Žižkov. The trams you could get are 5, 9, 26, 55, 58, 136 you have to stop in Olšanské náměstí. From there mmm follow the street Prokopova and then you'll find a stairs so go up the stairs and you'll find a little door n a huge concrete wall and an arrow with the word Amigo written. They just open when there are events, so it is not always open.You should check on the internet when they have party. They put drum and bass, electronic music and this stuff :)

El búnker es un sitio increíble!! Se llama así porque es un bunker subterráneo que fue construido por los comunistas en los años 50. No es fácil de encontrar; de hecho lo he buscado por google maps porque cuando fui estaba muy borracha y no me acuerdo como llegamos :P. Yo no diría que el búnker tiene una dirección exacta... está situado en Žižkov. Los trams que puedes coger son el 5, 9, 26, 55, 58, 136 y tienes que pararte en Olšanské náměstí. De allí sigues la calle Prokopova y luego encontrarás unas escaleras, las subes y encontrarás una pequeña puerta en una enorme pared y una flecha con la palabra 'amigo' escrita.Sólo abren cuando hay eventos, por lo tanto no siempre lo encontraréis abierto y tenéis que mirarlo por internet. Ponen drum and bass, electrónica y esas cosas :)

Lucerna: The first time I went it was for attending to a concert (Metronomy). It is a night club, but I would say that it is also a concert club. I mean that there are many concerts which are done in Lucerna. It is quite huge and great!!!!

La primera vez que fui era para ir a un concierto(Metronomy). Es una disco para ir the party party pero también diria que es una sala de conciertos, me refiero a que se hacen muchos conciertos en el Lucerna, no solo es para party. Es como la Razzmatazz de Barcelona, puedes salir de marcha allí pero también se hacen conciertos. Es bastante grande y está muy bien!!

El primer cop que hi vaig anar era per anar a un concert de Metronomy. Es una discoteca per anar de party party pero també diria que és una sala de concerts, és a dir, que es fan molts concerts al Lucerna, es com la Razz de Barcelona, pots anar de festa però també es fan concerts. És bastant gran i està molt guai!!

007: I went yesterday night to this pub! amazing! The thing is that it is in Strahov (far far far far far far far away). It is in the other part of Prague. If Hostivar is in one extreme, Strahov is in the other one. But it worths the loong trip. They put ska,rockabilly, rock,punk etc etc music and make ska,hardcore,punk blablabla concerts!! How to get there? I'll attach you their web page and it is described(in "kontak"). too laaazy today :P

Fui ayer a este pub! muy chulo!La cosa es que esta en Strahov(en cancún casi). Está en la otra parte de Praga. Si Hostivar está en un extremo, Strahov está en el otro. Pero vale la pena el largo trayecto. Ponen ska, rockabilly, rock, punk.... y hacen conciertos de más de lo mismo. ¿cómo llegar ahí? Os pongo su web que está muy bien explicadito( en "Kontakt"). Estoy vaga =P

Vaig anar ahir en aquest pub! està molt chulo!! La cosa es que està a Stahov(tó lejos). A l'altra part de Praga. Si Hostivar està a una punta, Strahov està a l'altra. Però val la pena el llarg trajecte. Posen ska, punk, rockabilly etc etc i de concerts doncs igual!!Com arribar-hi? mirau la pàgina web que vos he posat abaix que està molt ben explicat que avui estic mandrosa :P

FABRIC SHOP// TIENDA DE TELAS 1

If you are interested in buying buttons, thread,wool fabric, cotton fabric etc etc there is a fabric shop near to Standard Cafe. It is called MARLEN. It is in Karolíny Světlé 12. It is open from Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm.

In my opinion is quite expensive.

I've been told that the Tesco of Narodni Trida (4th floor) has a fair selection, today I've gone and I didn't see anything. But I'll check again :)

En mi opinión es bastante cara. Me han dicho que en el tesco de Narodni Trida( 4ª planta) hay una variedad de telas, pero hoy he ido y no he visto nada. Lo miraré otra vez y ya diré.

Crec que es bastant cara aquesta tenda. També m'han dit que al tesco de Narodni trida(4ªplanta) hi ha una gran varietat de teles, però avui hi he anat i no he vist res. Ho miraré de nou i ja diré.

Well, One of the advantages of living in Czech Republic is that this country is located in a perfect geography position: We have Poland, Germany, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary just next to us. Bueno, una de las ventajas de vivir en la República Checa es que es un país que está muy bien situado: Tenemos al ladico Polonia, Alemania, Eslovaquia, Austria, Hungria.
